1.5M Tris Buffer, pH 8.8

1.5M Tris Buffer, pH 8.8 is an extensively used buffer in Molecular Biology. It is used as the major component of several buffer solutions, e.g. Tris-EDTA buffer, Tris-buffered saline etc.and also used in nucleic acid purification. Tris is the common name of tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane. It is a primary amine and is effective as a buffer in the pH range between 7.0 and 9.2. Tris does not precipitate calcium salts and maintains solubility of manganese salts. 1.5M Tris Buffer, pH 8.8 is an extensively used buffer in Molecular Biology.
