Buffered Listeria Enrichment Broth

This medium is recommended by FDA Committee and APHA for selectivity procedure for isolation of Listeria monocytogenes. Cycloheximide inhibits the growth of saprophytic fungi. Nalidixic acid inhibits the growth of gram-negative organisms, whereas acriflavin suppresses growth of gram-positive microorganisms. It contains 225 ml medium.
