Clausen HiVegâ„¢ Medium 500G

Clausen HiVegâ„¢ Medium is recommended for sterility testing as per Nordic Pharmacopoeia. This medium is also called as HS-T (Dithionite Thioglycollate) Medium and is recommended for sterility testing by the Nordic Pharmacopoeia Board referred as microbial-contamination test. Either of the methods, Membrane filter method or Dilution method can be are used for microbial conatmination test. L-cystine and sodium thioglycollate act as reducing agents,polysorbate 80 and lecithin are added in this medium to overcome the effects of cationic agents. Resazurin dye acts as redox indicator. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
