Hi-PCR® E. coli O157:H7 Quantification Probe PCR Kit

HiMedia's Hi‐PCR® E. coli O157:H7 Quantification Probe PCR Kit is designed to detect the outer membrane protein (eae) gene of E. coli O157:H7 in FAM channel with Internal Control (IC) in JOE channel. The kit allows sensitive and specific quantification of E. coli O157:H7 in a single tube reaction. Escherichia coli O157: H7 is a rod-shaped, gram-negative, aerobic, non-fermentative bacterium that causes hemolytic colitis and hemolytic uremic syndrome. The main mode of infection is through food, untreated water and unpasteurized milk. Transmission is via the fecal-oral route, and most illness has been through distribution of contaminated leafy green vegetables.
