HiCombi™ Blood -Mannitol Salt Agar Plate

This Biplate is a combination of Blood + Mannitol Salt Agar recommended for isolation of Neisseria & other fastidious microorganisms along with potentially pathogenic Gram positive organisms especially pathogenic Staphylococci. Blood Agar is a nutritious medium supplemented with blood and is recommended to study haemolytic reactions. Mannitol Salt Agar is recommended for the detection of pathogenic Staphylococci. It is selective due to the presence of high salt concentration. This medium is based on mannitol fermentation with phenol red as the indicator.
