M16 Medium w/ Sodium bicarbonate and Sodium lactate

M16 Medium is a modified Kreb's-Ringer bicarbonate solution. It is used for collecting and handling of preimplantation stage embryos for prolonged periods outside CO2 incubator. Pyruvate and lactate present in the medium serve as energy sources since preimplantation embryos do not utilize glucose efficiently. AL143 contains sodium bicarbonate and lactic acid.
