Mitsuhashi and Maramorosch Insect Medium w/ Sodium bicarbonate

It was originally developed to grow cells derived from Leafhopper. Subsequently, it has been used to culture cells derived from a number of insect species. IML002 needs to be supplemented with 5-20% fetal bovine serum. Lactalbumin hydrolysate serves as a source of free amino acids, whereas yeast extract serves as a source of vitamins.
