Perfringens HiVegâ„¢ Agar Base (T.S.C./S.F.P. HiVegâ„¢ Agar Base) medium with the addition of selective supplement and enrichment for the presumptive identification and enumeration of Clostridium perfringens. This medium has been documented as one of the most useful media for the quantitative recovery of C.perfringens while suppressing growth of other facultative anaerobes,also recommended by APHA. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
