Potato Dextrose Agar Plate w/ β Lactamase mixture (γ-irradiated) (Triple Pack)

This medium is recommended as a general purpose medium for isolation of yeasts and moulds and for inactivation of β-lactam antibiotics. Potato infusion and dextrose promote luxuriant fungal growth. β lactamase mixture added in the medium will inactivate the β-lactam antibiotics thus enabling recovery of organisms from the environment of cleanrooms where production of antibiotics is carried out.
