Proteose HiVegâ„¢ Agar 500G

Proteose HiVegâ„¢ Agar is recommended for the cultivation of Vibrio species from food in accordance with APHA. It does not contain any inhibitor or indicator. However it has a relatively high (alkaline) pH, which suppresses the growth of most of the organisms that are non-alkalophilic or alkali non-tolerant. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
