10X Transfer Buffer is used for the electrotransfer of protein samples form the polyacrylamide gels to the nitrocellulose/PVDF membrane. : 10X Transfer Buffer is mainly used to transfer proteins from polyacrylamide gels to nitrocellulose or PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride) membranes during Western blotting procedure which uses antibodies to identify specific protein targets bound to the membrane. to transfer proteins onto a membrane (PVDF/Nitrocellulose) for Western blot. It is is composed of 0.25 M Tris and 1.92 M Glycine which help the protein to migrate from the gel and adhere to the membrane.
