The adapter, offered in a straight or curved design, sends condensed steam to the collection vessel. Glassware is not only resistant to high temperatures, but also to chemicals that can withstand processing with aggressive substances. In bent style, heating a fully closed system can be dangerous, so you can leave the system open to some extent. With standard sleeve and cone sizes, the adapter fits exactly into the corresponding component of the washer and provides clean eluent flow.
