The 1kb DNA ladder contains eleven blunt-ended DNA fragments ranging from 500bp to 10kb in increments. Fragment with size 2,500bp is higher in intensity in comparison to other bands to serve as orientation point. It serves as molecular weight standards for agarose gel electrophoresis. The ladder is suitable for sizing PCR products or other double-stranded DNA fragments. The ladder is premixed with loading dye and is ready to use.
