This HiDip slides are recommended for urine bacteria screening. It comprises of three surfaces having CLED Agar, Cetrimide Agar and MacConkey Agar. CLED Agar- A non-selective agar based on lactose fermentation with Bromothymol blue, BTB as indicator. Cetrimide Agar- A selective medium for Pseudomonas where cetrimide acts as the inhibitory agent. MacConkey Agar - A selective medium for detection of Enterobacteriaceae and is based on lactose fermentation with neutral red as indicator. Bile salt mixture and crystal violet are the selective agent.
