HiDip™ Mac-HiCrome™ UTI Medium

This HiDip slides are recommended for easy and fast detection of urinary tract microorganisms. MacConkey Agar - A selective medium for detection of Enterobacteriaceae and is based on lactose fermentation with neutral red as indicator. Sodium taurocholate is the selective agent. HiCrome™ UTI Medium : This medium is recommended for presumptive identification & confirmation of microorganisms mainly causing urinary tract infections & other clinical . It facilitates and expedites the identification of some gram-negative bacteria and some gram-positive bacteria on the basis of different contrasted colony. It detects presence of ß-glucosidase and ß-D-galactosidase This medium can be made selective by supplementation with antibiotics for detecting microorganisms associated with hospital borne infections. .
