CF049 is lyophilized recombinant human IL-6 expressed in E. coli, filtered through 0.22μ membrane filter. Interleukins are a group of multifunctional cytokines derived from activated lymphocytes and macrophages. Interleukin 6 plays a key role in host defense by regulating immune and inflammatory responses. IL-6 also exhibits diverse biological functions by acting on a variety of cells. Recombinant Human IL-6 is a 26 kDa protein containing 184 amino acid residues.
