Listeria Selective HiVegâ„¢ Broth Base is used for selective isolation and cultivation of Listeria monocytogenes from clinical specimens. This media is formulated as per Lovett et al for the selective enrichment of Listeria species from milk and milk products and other foods. This broth is recommended by ISO Committee with a slight modification in the supplement (FD063I). This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
