This medium is recommended for the selective enrichment of Escherichia coli in accordance with harmonized methods of USP,EP,BP & JP. The enriched sample is further subculture on MacConkey Agar. It is based on lactose fermentation with Bromocresol purple as an indicator. It is available in 10 ml quantity.
