Stripiing buffer is used for re-probing of PVDF or nitrocellulse membrane to use the same membrane for probing with another set of antibodies Stripping Buffer is used for breaking antibody-antigen interactions to remove primary and secondary antibodies from the nitrocellulose and PVDF membranes which subsequently can be reprobed several times using different antibodies. Blots can be stripped multiple times for the repeated use of membranes.
