Trichophyton HiVegâ„¢ Agar-1 500G

Trichophyton HiVegâ„¢ Agar-1 is recommended for differentiation of Trichophyton species. Trichophyton Agar-1 is used along with medium 2, 3 and 4 to determine whether the isolate require inositol, thiamine or both. Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Trichophyton rubrum grows luxuriantlly on the medium. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.This is used for differentiation of Trichophyton species. This is a casein basal medium that is vitamin-free to which different vitamins are added. The various additives added help to determine the specific vitamin and amino acid requirements of the isolates.
