This Biplate is combination of Cetrimide Agar + MacConkey Agar w/ 0.15% Bile salts,CV and NaCl recommended for selective isolation of Pseudomonas and differentiation of coliform and other enteric pathogens. MacConkey Agar is based on lactose fermentation with neutral red as the indicator. Bile salt and crystal violet inhibits gram positive organisms. Cetrimide Agar is a selective medium for Pseudomonas. Cetrimide as the inhibitory agent.
