This Biplate is a combination of Chocolate Agar + MacConkey Agar Plate recommended for the isolation and cultivation of fastidious organisms and differentiation of coliforms and other enteric pathogens. Chocolate Agar is a highly nutritious medium supplemented with haemoglobin and supports growth of fastidious organisms. MacConkey Agar is based on lactose fermentation with neutral red as the indicator. MacConkey Agar is recommended for the detection of coliforms.
