This Biplate contains MacConkey Agar in both the halves and is recommended for the selective isolation and differentiation of E.coli and other enteric bacteria from pharmaceutical products in accordance with the microbial limit testing by harmonized methodology of USP/EP/BP/JP. It is recommended for Microbial Limit Testing (MLT), Dietary supplements, Pharmaceutical testing. It is based on lactose fermentation with neutral red as the indicator. The selectivity of the medium is due to presence of Bile salts and crystal violet.
