This Biplate is a combination of Blood Agar + MacConkey Agar recommended for the isolation & cultivation of fastidious organisms & differentiation of coliforms and other enteric pathogens. MacConkey Agar is based on lactose fermentation with neutral red as the indicator. It is recommended for the detection of coliforms. Blood Agar is a nutritious medium supplemented with sheep blood and is recommended to study the haemolytic reactions.
