This Biplate contains XLD Agar in both the halves and is recommended for the selection and subculture of Salmonella in accordance with the harmonized method of USP/EP/BP/JP/IP. It is recommended for Microbial Limit Testing (MLT), Dietary supplements, Pharmaceutical testing. It is based on carbohydrate fermentation, lysine decarboxylation and H2S production. Sodium deoxycholate in the medium inhibits gram positive organisms.
