This HiDip slide is recommended for total bacteria, isolation & enumeration of yeasts & moulds. PCA : Recommended for determination of plate counts of microorganisms in food, water, waste water & clinical . Also called as Standard Methods Agar. It is recommended by APHA and FDA for determination of counts. OGYE Agar (Oxytetra Glucose Yeast Agar Base) - OGYE medium were formulated by Mossel et al for the selective isolation and enumeration of yeast and moulds from foods. Oxytetracycline makes the medium more selective by inhibiting the growth of Lactobacilli.
