It is used for presumptive identification & confirmation of microorganisms mainly causing urinary tract infections & other clinical . It facilitates and expedites the identification of some gram-negative bacteria and some gram-positive bacteria on the basis of different contrasted colony. It detects presence of ß-glucosidase and ß-D-galactosidase.
